And who is like your people Israel? God came to one nation on earth in order to redeem a people for himself, to make a name for himself, and to perform for them  great and awesome acts,  driving out nations and their gods before your people you redeemed for yourself from Egypt.


Now therefore, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.


Then the Levites #– #Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah   #– #said, ‘Stand up. Blessed be the Lord your God from everlasting to everlasting.’ Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.


Instead of the thorn bush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the briar, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the Lord, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

Yet as I live and as the whole earth is filled with the Lord’s glory,


They camped at the Lord’s command, and they set out at the Lord’s command. They carried out the Lord’s requirement according to his command through Moses.


Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth  to people he favours!  ,,


so that we who had already put our hope  in Christ might bring praise to his glory.


to the praise of his glorious grace  that he lavished on us in the Beloved One.


The Lord alone led him, with no help from a foreign god.


The Lord gave them rest on every side according to all he had sworn to their ancestors. None of their enemies were able to stand against them, for the Lord handed over all their enemies to them.


Now that he has given your brothers rest, just as he promised them, return to your homes in your own land that Moses the Lord’s servant gave you across the Jordan.


A long time after the Lord had given Israel rest from all the enemies around them,  Joshua was old, advanced in age.
