However, if he should say, “I do not delight in you,” then here I am #– #he can do with me whatever pleases him.’  ,


Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart #– #he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem #– #so the Lord’s wrath didn’t come  on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.


“I will indeed gather you to your ancestors, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster that I am bringing on this place and on its inhabitants.” ’ Then they reported to the king.


saying: Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will leave this life.  , The Lord gives, and the  Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the  Lord.


Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end.


Why should any living person complain, any man, because of the punishment for his sins?


Moses said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness  , to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory  , before all the people.’ And Aaron remained silent.


These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another; make true and sound decisions within your city gates.


The Lord of Armies says this: ‘The fast of the fourth month,  the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth  will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.’


Humble  yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand  of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time,


So Samuel told him everything and did not hide anything from him. Eli responded, ‘He is the Lord. Let him do what he thinks is good.’
