God heard the boy crying, and the  angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, ‘What’s wrong, Hagar? Don’t be afraid, for God has heard the boy crying from the place where he is.


‘What’s the matter? ’ the king asked her. ‘Sadly, I am a widow; my husband died,’ she said.


Then the king asked her, ‘What’s the matter? ’ She said, ‘This woman said to me, “Give up your son, and we will eat him today. Then we will eat my son tomorrow.”


Without revelation  , people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.


A pronouncement  concerning Babylon  that Isaiah son of Amoz saw:


In its streets they wear sackcloth; on its rooftops and in its public squares everyone wails, falling down and weeping.


For the Lord God of Armies had a day of tumult, trampling, and confusion in the Valley of Vision – people shouting  and crying to the mountains;


The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will become impure like that place Topheth #– #all the houses on whose rooftops they have burned incense to all the stars in the sky  and poured out drink offerings to other gods.” ’


Beware! I am against you, you who sit above the valley, you on top of the rocky plateau – this is the  Lord’s declaration – you who say, ‘Who can come down against us? Who can enter our hiding places? ’


The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will come and set this city on fire. They will burn it, including the houses where incense has been burned to Baal on their rooftops and where drink offerings have been poured out to other gods to anger me.


because of all the evil the Israelites and Judeans have done to anger me #– #they, their kings,  their officials, their priests, and their prophets, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem.


On all the rooftops of Moab and in her public squares, everyone is mourning because I have shattered Moab like a jar no one wants.’  This is the Lord’s declaration.


Let the nations be roused and come to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit down to judge all the surrounding nations.


Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the  Lord is near in the valley of decision.


Therefore, it will be night  for you – without visions; it will grow dark for you – without divination. The sun will set  on these prophets, and the daylight will turn black over them.


those who bow in worship on the rooftops to the stars in the sky; those who bow and pledge loyalty to the  Lord but also pledge loyalty to Milcom;  ,


What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. What you hear in a whisper,   proclaim on the housetops.
