But they were disobedient and rebelled against you. They flung your law behind their backs and killed your prophets who warned them in order to turn them back to you. They committed terrible blasphemies.


Haven’t I written for you thirty sayings about counsel and knowledge,


They are a rebellious people, deceptive children, children who do not want to listen to the  Lord’s instruction.


Then I gave them my statutes and explained my ordinances to them #– #the person who does them will live by them.


My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you  from serving as my priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.


So what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?


So then, the law is holy,  and the commandment is holy and just and good.
