You came near whenever I called you; you said, ‘Do not be afraid.’

for the law was given through Moses;  grace and truth  came through Jesus Christ.

Jesus told him, ‘I am   the way,   the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Everyone who believes is justified  through him from everything that you could not be justified from through the law of Moses.

We have also obtained access through him  by faith  into this grace in which we stand,  and we boast  in the hope of the glory of God.

What should we say then?  Is the law sin? Absolutely not!  But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law.  For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.   ,

For what the law could not do  since it was weakened by the flesh,  God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh  as a sin offering,  ,

and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law  but by faith in Jesus Christ,  even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ  and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will  be justified.

Since the law has only a shadow of the good things  to come, and not the reality itself of those things, it can never perfect the worshippers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year.

since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
