Lamech was 182 years old when he fathered a son.


Lamech lived for 595 years after he fathered Noah, and he fathered other sons and daughters.


He wiped out every living thing that was on the face of the earth, from mankind to livestock, to creatures that crawl, to the birds of the sky, and they were wiped off the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.


When Noah awoke from his drinking and learned what his youngest son had done to him,


‘For this is like the days  of Noah to me: when I swore that the water of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.


Even if these three men   #– #Noah,  Daniel,  and Job   #– #were in it, they would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.’ This is the declaration of the Lord God.
