When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.


‘I will send you a young goat from my flock,’ he replied. But she said, ‘Only if you leave something with me until you send it.’


When she brought them to him to eat, he grabbed her and said,  ‘Come and sleep with me, my sister! ’


Men give gifts to all prostitutes, but you gave gifts to all your lovers. You bribed them to come to you from all around for your sexual favours.


and said, ‘What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you? ’ So they weighed out thirty pieces of silver for him.


Do not bring a female prostitute’s wages or a male prostitute’s  earnings into the house of the Lord your God to fulfil any vow, because both are detestable to the Lord your God.


For the love of money is a root  of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith  and pierced themselves with many griefs.
