But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, ‘You are about to die because of the woman you have taken, for she is a married woman.’


Then God said to him in the dream, ‘Yes, I know that you did this with a clear conscience.  I have also kept you from sinning against me. Therefore I have not let you touch her.


Laban and Bethuel answered, ‘This is from the Lord; we have no choice in the matter.  ,


So Isaac sent Jacob to Paddan-aram, to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau.


‘When the flocks were breeding, I saw in a dream that the streaked, spotted, and speckled males were mating with the females.


In that dream the angel of God said to me, “Jacob! ” and I said, “Here I am.”


So he took his relatives with him, pursued Jacob for seven days, and overtook him in the hill country of Gilead.


When Laban overtook Jacob, Jacob had pitched his tent in the hill country, and Laban and his relatives also pitched their tents in the hill country of Gilead.


I could do you great harm, but last night the God of your father said to me, “Watch yourself! Don’t say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”


If the God of my father, the God of Abraham, the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, certainly now you would have sent me off empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my hard work,  and he issued his verdict last night.’


and that he has cheated me and changed my wages ten times. But God has not let him harm me.


The king of Egypt’s cupbearer and baker, who were confined in the prison, each had a dream. Both had a dream on the same night, and each dream had its own meaning.

While he was sitting on the judge’s bench, his wife sent word to him, ‘Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for today I’ve suffered terribly in a dream because of him.’


You are to respond by saying in the presence of the Lord your God: My father was a wandering Aramean.  He went down to Egypt with a few people and resided there as a foreigner.  There he became a great, powerful, and populous nation.
