When the Lord had finished speaking with Abraham, he departed, and Abraham returned to his place.


And he said, ‘I heard you  in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.’


Clouds  veil him so that he cannot see, as he walks on the circle of the sky.’


Have I covered my transgressions  as others do by hiding my iniquity in my heart


Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind.  He said:


The eyes of the  Lord are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good.


Can a person hide in secret places where I cannot see him? ’   #– #the Lord’s declaration. ‘Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? ’   #– #the Lord’s declaration.


The high places  of Aven, the sin of Israel, will be destroyed; thorns and thistles will grow over their altars. They will say to the mountains,  ‘Cover us! ’ and to the hills, ‘Fall on us! ’


I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.


Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish  from the Lord’s presence.  He went down  to Joppa  and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the Lord’s presence.


They show that the work of the law  is written on their hearts.  Their consciences confirm this. Their competing thoughts either accuse or even excuse them


For the Lord your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you; so your encampments must be holy. He must not see anything indecent among you or he will turn away from you.


Has a people heard God’s voice speaking from the fire as you have, and lived?


But now, why should we die? This great fire will consume us and we will die if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any longer.


No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom  we must give an account.


Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
