Then Abram fell face down and God spoke with him:


The men got up from there and looked out over Sodom, and Abraham was walking with them to see them off.


The men turned from there and went towards Sodom  while Abraham remained standing before the Lord.


and said, ‘My lord, if I have found favour with you, please do not go on past your servant.


The two angels entered Sodom  in the evening as Lot was sitting in Sodom’s gateway. When Lot saw them, he got up to meet them. He bowed with his face to the ground


Abraham bowed down to the people of the land


Then Abraham rose and bowed down to the Hethites, the people of the land.


In the early evening Isaac went out to walk  in the field, and looking up he saw camels coming.


Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.


Joseph was in charge of the country; he sold grain to all its people. His brothers came and bowed down before him with their faces to the ground.


When Joseph came home, they brought him the gift they had carried into the house, and they bowed to the ground before him.


They answered, ‘Your servant our father is well. He is still alive.’ And they knelt low and paid homage to him.


When Judah and his brothers reached Joseph’s house, he was still there. They fell to the ground before him.


Then Joseph took them from his father’s knees and bowed with his face to the ground.


When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said, ‘The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.’ They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.


Share with the saints in their needs;  pursue hospitality.


Don’t neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it.


When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand.  Joshua approached him and asked, ‘Are you for us or for our enemies? ’


Be hospitable  to one another without complaining.


The angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, ‘Although you are unable to conceive and have no children, you will conceive and give birth to a son.


She fell face down, bowed to the ground,  and said to him, ‘Why have I found favour with you, so that you notice me, although I am a foreigner? ’
