just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,   and to give his life as a ransom for many.’


Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and provided redemption for his people.


But to all who did receive  him,  he gave them the right  to be  children  of God,  to those who believe  in his name,


Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock  of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers,  to shepherd the church of God,  which he purchased with his own blood.


For Christ is the end  of the law for righteousness  to everyone who believes,


For all those led by God’s Spirit  are God’s sons.


For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear.  Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption,  by whom we cry out, ‘Abba,  Father! ’


For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation  for God’s sons  to be revealed.


Not only that,  but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits   #– #we also groan within ourselves,  eagerly waiting for adoption,  the redemption of our bodies.


They are Israelites,  and to them belong the adoption,  the glory,  the covenants,  the giving of the law,  the temple service,  and the promises.


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us,  because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.   ,


for through faith you are all sons of God in Christ Jesus.


Tell me, you who want to be under the law, don’t you hear the law?


So you are no longer a slave  but a son,  and if a son, then God has made you an heir.


He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,


In him we have redemption  through his blood, the forgiveness  of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace


and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us,  a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.


He gave himself for us  to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,  eager to do good works.


The Son is the radiance  of God’s glory and the exact expression  of his nature,  sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After making purification for sins,  he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.  ,


he entered the most holy place once for all time, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.


Therefore, he is the mediator  of a new covenant,  , so that those who are called might receive the promise  of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.


For Christ also suffered  for sins once for all,  the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God.  He was put to death in the flesh  , but made alive by the Spirit,


They sang  a new song  before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders,  but no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.


And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and you purchased   people for God by your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.
