⁶ This is the text of the letter that Tattenai the governor of the region west of the River Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and their colleagues, the officials in the region, sent to King Darius.

As soon as the text of King Artaxerxes’s letter was read to Rehum, Shimshai the scribe, and their colleagues,  they immediately went to the Jews in Jerusalem and forcibly stopped them.

Therefore, you must stay away from that place, Tattenai governor of the region west of the River Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and your  colleagues, the officials in the region.

Ezra 8:36

They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates,  so that they would support the people and the house of God.
