Give thanks to the  Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures for ever.


With them were Heman,  Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen and designated by name  to give thanks to the Lord  #– #for his faithful love endures for ever.


The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the Lord with one voice. They raised their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments,  in praise to the Lord: For he is good; his faithful love endures for ever. The temple, the Lord’s temple, was filled with a cloud.


All the Israelites were watching when the fire descended and the glory of the Lord came on the temple. They bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground. They worshipped and praised the Lord: For he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.


The heads of the Levites #– #Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, along with their relatives opposite them #– #gave praise and thanks, division by division, as David the man of God had prescribed.


The two thanksgiving processions stood in the house of God. So did I and half of the officials accompanying me,


Miriam sang to them: Sing to the  Lord, for he is highly exalted; he has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.


Cry out and sing, citizen of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel  is among you in his greatness.’


Rejoice, heavens,  for the  Lord has acted; shout, depths of the earth. Break out into singing, mountains, forest, and every tree in it. For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorifies himself through Israel.


And one called to another: Holy, holy, holy is the  Lord of Armies; his glory  fills the whole earth.


a sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride,  and the voice of those saying, Give thanks to the Lord of Armies, for the Lord is good; his faithful love endures for ever as they bring thanksgiving sacrifices to the temple of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the Lord.


“Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Doesn’t it seem to you like nothing by comparison?


“What are you, great mountain?  Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain.  And he will bring out the capstone accompanied by shouts of: Grace, grace to it! ” ’


Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; he is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.


His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him.


But Joshua had commanded the troops, ‘Do not shout or let your voice be heard. Don’t let one word come out of your mouth until the time I say, “Shout! ” Then you are to shout.’


After the seventh time, the priests blew the rams’ horns, and Joshua said to the troops, ‘Shout! For the Lord has given you the city.


When there is a prolonged blast of the horn and you hear its sound, have all the troops give a mighty shout. Then the city wall will collapse, and the troops will advance, each man straight ahead.’
