I am watching over them for disaster and not for good,  and everyone from Judah who is in the land of Egypt will meet his end by sword or famine until they are finished off.


Our steps were closely followed so that we could not walk in our streets. Our end approached;  our time ran out. Our end had come!


Therefore say to them, “This is what the Lord God says: I will put a stop to this proverb, and they will not use it again in Israel.”  But say to them, “The days have arrived,  as well as the fulfilment of every vision.


And you, profane and wicked prince of Israel,  , the day has come  for your punishment.


Yes, it is coming, and it will happen. This is the declaration of the Lord God. This is the day I have spoken about.


Here is the day! Here it comes! Doom is on its way. The rod has blossomed; arrogance has bloomed.


The end is now upon you; I will send my anger against you and judge you according to your ways. I will punish you for all your detestable practices.


Doom  has come on you, inhabitants of the land. The time has come; the day is near. There will be panic on the mountains and not celebration.


He asked me, ‘What do you see, Amos? ’ I replied, ‘A basket of summer fruit.’  , The Lord said to me, ‘The end has come for my people Israel;  I will no longer spare them.


Sword, awake against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate – this is the declaration of the  Lord of Armies. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.
