David responded to Nathan, ‘I have sinned against the Lord.’ Then Nathan replied to David, ‘And the Lord has taken away your sin; you will not die.


So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, ‘The Lord is righteous.’


Pharaoh urgently sent for Moses and Aaron and said, ‘I have sinned against the Lord your God and against you.


Please forgive my sin once more and make an appeal to the Lord your God, so that he will just take this death away from me.’


Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ‘Go and sacrifice to your God within the country.’


Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ‘Appeal  to the Lord to remove the frogs from me and my people. Then I will let the people go and they can sacrifice to the Lord.’


The Lord is just, for I have rebelled against his command. Listen, all you people; look at my pain. My young women and young men have gone into captivity.


So the Lord kept the disaster in mind and brought it on us, for the Lord our God is righteous in all he has done. But we have not obeyed him.


The people then came to Moses and said, ‘We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that he will take the snakes away from us.’ And Moses interceded for the people.


Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, ‘I have sinned, for I did not know that you were standing in the path to confront me. And now, if it is evil in your sight, I will go back.’


‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood,’ he said. ‘What’s that to us? ’ they said. ‘See to it yourself! ’


Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath  for yourself in the day of wrath,  when God’s righteous judgement is revealed.


Now we know that whatever the law says,  it speaks to those who are subject to the law,  , so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgement.  ,


Achan replied to Joshua, ‘It is true. I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel.  This is what I did:


Saul answered Samuel, ‘I have sinned.  I have transgressed the Lord’s command  and your words. Because I was afraid of the people, I obeyed them.


Saul said, ‘I have sinned. Please honour me  now before the elders of my people and before Israel. Come back with me so I can bow in worship to the Lord your God.’


Saul responded, ‘I have sinned.  Come back, my son David, I will never harm you again because today you considered my life precious. I have been a fool! I’ve committed a grave error.’
