Pharaoh’s daughter went down to bathe at the Nile while her servant girls walked along the riverbank. She saw the basket among the reeds, sent her slave girl, took it,


So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord had commanded. Aaron threw down his staff before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.


Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Pharaoh’s heart is hard: He refuses to let the people go.


The Lord said to Moses, ‘Get up early in the morning and present yourself to Pharaoh when you see him going out to the water. Tell him: This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship  me.


Speak to him and say, “This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster  , lying in the middle of his Nile, who says, ‘My Nile is my own; I made it for myself.’
