‘As for this temple you are building #– #if you walk in my statutes, observe my ordinances, and keep all my commands by walking in them,  I will fulfil my promise to you, which I made to your father David.


For every dispute that comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities #– #whether it regards differences of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgements   #– #you are to warn them, so they will not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath will not come on you and your brothers.  Do this, and you will not incur guilt.


join with their noble brothers and commit themselves with a sworn oath  , to follow the law of God given through God’s servant Moses  and to obey carefully all the commands, ordinances, and statutes of the Lord our Lord.


After Moses came back, he summoned the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him.


Then I gave them my statutes and explained my ordinances to them #– #the person who does them will live by them.


I also gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances  they could not live by.


But you are to keep my statutes and ordinances. You must not commit any of these detestable acts #– #not the native or the foreigner who resides among you.


Keep my statutes and ordinances; a person will live  if he does them.  I am the Lord.


Keep all my statutes and all my ordinances and do them; I am the Lord.’


‘You are to keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.


‘Remember the instruction of Moses my servant, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him at Horeb  for all Israel.


the assembly is to judge between the person who kills someone and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances.


These are the commands and ordinances the Lord commanded the Israelites through Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

‘If your fellow Hebrew, a man or woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, you must set him free in the seventh year.


At that time the Lord commanded me to teach you statutes and ordinances for you to follow in the land you are about to cross into and possess.


These are the decrees, statutes, and ordinances Moses proclaimed to them after they came out of Egypt,


Look, I have taught you statutes and ordinances as the Lord my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to possess.


And what great nation has righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire law I set before you today?


Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, ‘Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances I am proclaiming as you hear them today. Learn and follow them carefully.


But you stand here with me, and I will tell you every command #– #the statutes and ordinances #– #you are to teach them, so that they may follow them in the land I am giving them to possess.”

‘When your son asks you in the future, “What is the meaning  of the decrees, statutes, and ordinances that the Lord our God has commanded you? ”


Additionally then, brothers and sisters, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received instruction from us on how you should live and please God #– #as you are doing   #– #do this even more.
