So the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the power of King Sennacherib of Assyria and from the power of all others. He gave them rest  , on every side.


But Moses said to the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see  the Lord’s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.


Then he  remembered the days of the past, the days of Moses and his people. Where is he who brought them out of the sea with the shepherds  of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among the flock?


He said, ‘They are indeed my people, children who will not be disloyal,’ and he became their Saviour.


In all their suffering, he suffered,  , and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.


But I will have compassion on the house of Judah, and I will deliver them by the  Lord  their God. I will not deliver them by bow, sword, or war, or by horses and cavalry.


Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


Now I want to remind you, although you came to know all these things once and for all, that Jesus  saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe;


The Lord said to the Israelites, ‘When the Egyptians,  Amorites, Ammonites, Philistines,


But Saul ordered, ‘No one will be executed this day, for today the Lord has provided deliverance in Israel.’


So the Lord saved Israel that day. The battle extended beyond Beth-aven,
