In the future when you come to check on my wages, my honesty will testify for me. If I have any female goats that are not speckled or spotted, or any lambs that are not black, they will be considered stolen.’


Remember the wondrous works he has done, his wonders, and the judgements he has pronounced,  ,


They are your servants and your people. You redeemed them by your great power and strong hand.


and so that you may tell  your son and grandson  how severely I dealt with the Egyptians and performed miraculous signs among them, and you will know that I am the Lord.’


At the end of 430 years, on that same day, all the Lord’s military divisions went out from the land of Egypt.


Then Moses said to the people, ‘Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the Lord brought you out of here by the strength of his hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.


On that day explain to your son, “This is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.”


Let it serve as a sign for you on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead,  , so that the Lord’s instruction may be in your mouth; for the Lord brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.


I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.


But the Lord replied to Moses, ‘Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: because of a strong hand he will let them go, and because of a strong hand he will drive them from his land.’


‘Therefore tell the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from the forced labour of the Egyptians and rescue you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm  and great acts of judgement.


I will take you as my people,  and I will be your God. You will know  that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the forced labour of the Egyptians.


‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant  with your ancestors when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, saying,


Now, Lord our God #– #who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand  and made your name renowned  as it is this day #– #we have sinned, we have acted wickedly.


The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors, made the people prosper during their stay in the land of Egypt, and led them out of it with a mighty  arm.


Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out of there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.


I am the Lord your God,  who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.


be careful not to forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.


We actually did this from a specific concern that in the future your descendants might say to our descendants, “What relationship do you have with the Lord, the God of Israel?


For the Lord our God brought us and our ancestors out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery,  and performed these great signs before our eyes. He also protected us all along the way we went and among all the peoples whose lands we travelled through.


so that this will be a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, “What do these stones mean to you? ”


and abandoned the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed other gods from the surrounding peoples  and bowed down to them. They angered the Lord,


the Lord sent a prophet  to them. He said to them, ‘This is what the Lord   God of Israel says: “I brought you out of Egypt and out of the place of slavery.
