He said to them, ‘The Lord would have to be with you if I would ever let you and your families go! Look out #– #you’re heading for trouble.


Then there will be a great cry of anguish through all the land of Egypt such as never was before or ever will be again.


The one who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will himself also call out and not be answered.


There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass among you. The Lord has spoken.


Plague goes before him, and pestilence follows in his steps.


‘In the middle of the night there was a shout: “Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.”


For judgement is without mercy to the one who has not shown mercy.  Mercy triumphs over judgement.


Those who did not die were afflicted with tumours, and the outcry of the city went up to heaven.
