When there is famine in the land, when there is pestilence, when there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper, when their enemy besieges them in the land and its cities, when there is any plague or illness,


Then there will be a great cry of anguish through all the land of Egypt such as never was before or ever will be again.


Tomorrow at this time I will rain down the worst hail  that has ever occurred in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.


locusts have no king, yet all of them march in ranks;


It has devastated my grapevine and splintered my fig tree. It has stripped off its bark and thrown it away; its branches have turned white.


‘You will sow much seed in the field but harvest little, because locusts will devour it.


Buzzing insects will take possession of all your trees and your land’s produce.
