Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place.


He told them, ‘These are my words   that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets,   and the Psalms   must be fulfilled.’


Indeed, we have all received grace  upon  grace from his fullness,


So they said to one another, ‘Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to see who gets it.’ This happened that the Scripture  might be fulfilled  that says: They divided my clothes among themselves, and they cast lots for my clothing.   , This is what the soldiers did.


After  this, when Jesus knew that everything was now finished  that the Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, ‘I’m thirsty.’


For these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled:  Not one of his bones will be broken.   ,


They said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven.’


After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.


Therefore, since he has been exalted to the right hand of God  and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit,  he has poured out  what you both see and hear.


In this way God fulfilled what he had predicted through all the prophets #– #that his Messiah would suffer.


I know a man in Christ who was caught up  to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether he was in the body or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows.


and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.


For God was pleased to have all his fullness  dwell in him,


For the entire fullness  of God’s nature dwells bodily  in Christ,


And most certainly, the mystery of godliness  is great: He  was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed  on in the world, taken up in glory.


Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens #– #Jesus the Son of God #– #let us hold fast to our confession.


For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
