He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight,  imitating the detestable practices of the nations that the Lord had dispossessed before the Israelites.


Your wickedness affects a person like yourself, and your righteousness, a son of man.


Dead flies make a perfumer’s oil ferment and stink; so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honour.


If the axe is dull, and one does not sharpen its edge, then one must exert more strength; however, the advantage of wisdom is that it brings success.


And I realised that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.


because wisdom is protection as silver is protection; but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.


Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers of a city.


And I said, ‘Wisdom is better than strength,  but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.’


Just as Jannes and Jambres  resisted Moses,  so these also resist the truth. They are men who are corrupt in mind  and worthless  in regard to the faith.

The men of Ai struck down about thirty-six of them and chased them from outside the city gate to the quarries,  striking them down on the descent. As a result, the people lost heart.  ,


How much better if the troops had eaten freely today from the plunder they took from their enemies! Then the slaughter of the Philistines would have been much greater.’
