But if you return to me and carefully observe my commands, even though your exiles were banished to the farthest horizon,  I will gather them from there and bring them to the place where I chose to have my name dwell.’


‘But if the wicked person turns from all the sins he has committed,  keeps all my statutes, and does what is just and right, he will certainly live; he will not die.


Tell them, “As I live #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live.  Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel? ”


‘ “So when I tell the wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but he repents of his sin and does what is just and right #– #


But if a wicked person turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live because of it.


People who are far off will come and build the Lord’s temple, and you will know that the Lord of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen when you fully obey the Lord your God.’


Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.


Therefore repent  and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,


Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter. Keeping God’s commands is what matters.


and single him out for harm from all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the law.


‘This command that I give you today is certainly not too difficult or beyond your reach.


and you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and all your soul  by doing  everything I am commanding you today,


Then you will again obey him and follow all his commands I am commanding you today.


But from there, you will search for the Lord your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.


Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
