My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;

I always strive to have a clear conscience  towards God and men.

Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony  of our conscience  is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially towards you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom  but by God’s grace.

The God and Father  of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed for ever, knows I am not lying.

Then the Levite, who has no portion or inheritance among you, the resident foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow within your city gates may come, eat, and be satisfied.  And the Lord your God will bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

‘When you have finished paying all the tenth of your produce in the third year,  the year of the tenth, you are to give it to the Levites, resident foreigners, fatherless children, and widows, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.

I have not eaten any of it while in mourning, or removed any of it while unclean, or offered any of it for the dead.  I have obeyed the Lord my God; I have done all you commanded me.

You are witnesses,  and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously,  and blamelessly  we conducted ourselves with you believers.
