All a person’s ways seem right to him, but the Lord weighs hearts.


‘House of Israel, was it sacrifices and grain offerings that you presented to me during the forty years in the wilderness?


These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the Lord’s commands and obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart  and your own eyes.


God turned away  and gave them up to worship  the stars of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: House of Israel, did you bring me offerings and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?


You will eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice with your household in everything you do,  because the Lord your God has blessed you.


Indeed, you have not yet come into the resting place  and the inheritance  the Lord your God is giving you.
