23 I offer thanks and praise to you, God of my ancestors, because you have given me wisdom and power. And now you have let me know what we asked of you, for you have let us know the king’s mystery.

Then the Lord said, ‘Should I hide what I am about to do from Abraham?


If the God of my father, the God of Abraham, the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, certainly now you would have sent me off empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my hard work,  and he issued his verdict last night.’


At the time for offering the evening sacrifice,  the prophet Elijah approached the altar and said, ‘Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel,  today let it be known  that you are God in Israel and I am your servant, and that at your word I have done all these things.


May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors. May he not abandon us or leave us


Then David blessed the Lord in the sight of all the assembly. David said, May you be blessed, Lord God of our father Israel, from eternity to eternity.


Now therefore, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.


He said: Lord, God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven,  and do you not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations?  Power and might are in your hand, and no one can stand against you.


God also said to Moses, ‘Say this to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name for ever;  this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.


A wise person went up against a city of warriors and brought down its secure fortress.


A wise warrior is better than a strong one, and a man of knowledge than one of strength;  ,


I possess good advice and sound wisdom; I have understanding and strength.


Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers of a city.


And I said, ‘Wisdom is better than strength,  but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.’


Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much good.


On that day you will say: ‘I will give thanks to you, Lord, although you were angry with me. Your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.


Call to me and I will answer you  and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.


God gave these four young men knowledge and understanding  in every kind of literature and wisdom. Daniel also understood visions and dreams  of every kind.


urging them to ask the God of the heavens  for mercy  concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of Babylon’s wise men.


Indeed, the Lord God does nothing without revealing his counsel to his servants the prophets.


At that time Jesus said,  ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.


At that time  he  rejoiced in the Holy  Spirit  and said, ‘I praise   you, Father,   Lord of heaven and earth,   because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent   and revealed them to infants.   Yes, Father, because this was your good pleasure.   ,


So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised his eyes and said, ‘Father, I thank   you that you heard me.


I do not call you servants any more, because a servant doesn’t know what his master   , is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.


The revelation of  Jesus Christ that God gave him to show his servants  what must soon take place.  He made it known by sending his angel  to his servant John,


Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep. Look, the Lion from the tribe of Judah,  the Root of David,  has conquered  so that he is able to open the scroll and  its seven seals.’
