‘I am the one, I sweep away your transgressions for my own sake and remember your sins no more.


I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.


And the ransomed of the  Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.


Make the minds  of these people dull; deafen their ears and blind their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.


to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the  Lord to glorify him.


Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their posterity among the peoples. All who see them will recognise that they are a people the  Lord has blessed.


Perhaps when the house of Judah hears about all the disaster I am planning to bring on them, each one of them will turn from his evil way. Then I will forgive their iniquity  and their sin.’


In those days and at that time – this is the  Lord’s declaration – one will search for Israel’s iniquity, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found, for I will forgive  those I leave as a remnant.


Let’s examine and probe our ways, and turn back to the  Lord.


Lord, bring us back to yourself, so that we may return; renew our days as in former times,


Tell them, “As I live #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live.  Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel? ”


Just as it is written in the law of Moses,  all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favour of  the Lord our God by turning from our iniquities and paying attention to your truth.


Take words of repentance with you and return to the  Lord. Say to him, ‘Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise  from our   lips.


Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the  Lord your God. For he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and he relents from sending disaster.


For this people’s heart has grown callous; their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back – and I would heal them.   ,


‘Truly I tell you,’ he said, ‘unless you turn and become like little children,   you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.


He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.


But he denied it: ‘Woman, I don’t know him.’


So when they had come together, they asked him, ‘Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time? ’


When they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying, ‘So then, God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.’


The Lord’s hand was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord.


When they had been sent on their way by the church,  they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they brought great joy to all the brothers and sisters.


From one man  he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.


Peter replied, ‘Repent  and be baptised,  each of you, in the name  of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


For the hearts of these people have grown callous, their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.   ,


that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus, who has been appointed  for you as the Messiah.


Heaven must receive him until the time of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about through his holy prophets from the beginning.


I don’t want you to be ignorant  of this mystery,  brothers and sisters, so that you will not be conceited:  A partial hardening has come upon Israel  until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.


on that day when he comes  to be glorified  by his saints  and to be marvelled at by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.


and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,


instructing his opponents with gentleness.  Perhaps God will grant them repentance  leading them to the knowledge of the truth.


Therefore, since the promise to enter his rest remains, let us beware  that none of you be found to have fallen short.


For you were like sheep going astray,   , but you have now returned to the Shepherd  and Overseer  of your souls.


Dear friends, don’t overlook this one fact: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.


He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  Death will be no more;  grief, crying, and pain will be no more,  because the previous things  have passed away.
