And Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide,  so today it is said, ‘It will be provided  on the Lord’s mountain.’


This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan, captain of the guards, released him at Ramah.  When he found him, he was bound in chains with all the exiles of Jerusalem and Judah who were being exiled to Babylon.


Now pay attention: Today I am setting you free from the chains that were on your hands.  If it pleases you to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will take care of you. But if it seems wrong to you to come with me to Babylon, go no further.  Look #– #the whole land is in front of you.  Wherever it seems good and right for you to go, go there.’


The guards were so shaken by fear of him that they became like dead men.


So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was praying fervently to God for him.


Then the commander approached, took him into custody, and ordered him to be bound with two chains.  He asked who he was and what he had done.


For this reason I’ve asked to see you and speak to you. In fact, it is for the hope of Israel that I’m wearing this chain.’


‘We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing in front of the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside.’


For this I am an ambassador  in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.


‘I would have said: I will cut them to pieces and blot out the memory of them from mankind,


May the Lord grant mercy  to the household of Onesiphorus,  because he often refreshed me  and was not ashamed of my chains.


Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?   ,
