Now then, behold, I have loosed thee this day from the chains which were upon thy hands. If it please thee to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will set my eyes upon thee: but if it do not please thee to come with me to Babylon, stay here. Behold, all the land is before thee, as thou shalt choose: and whither it shall please thee to go, thither go.


And for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men.


Peter therefore was kept in prison. But prayer was made without ceasing by the church unto God for him.


Then the tribune coming near, took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains: and demanded who he was, and what he had done.


For this cause therefore I desired to see you, and to speak to you. Because that for the hope of Israel, I am bound with this chain.


Saying: The prison indeed we found shut with all diligence, and the keepers standing before the doors; but opening it, we found no man within.


For which I am an ambassador in a chain, so that therein I may be bold to speak according as I ought.


I said: Where are they? I will make the memory of them to cease from among men.


The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus: because he hath often refreshed me, and hath not been ashamed of my chain:


So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.
