So Abner and his men marched through the Arabah all that night. They crossed the Jordan, marched all morning,  and arrived at Mahanaim.


The Nile will swarm with frogs; they will come up and go into your palace, into your bedroom and on your bed, into the houses of your officials and your people, and into your ovens and kneading bowls.


His head was brought on a dish and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother.


David ran and stood over him. He grabbed the Philistine’s sword,  pulled it from its sheath, and used it to kill him. Then he cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they fled.


David took Goliath’s  head and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put Goliath’s weapons in his own tent.


They cut off Saul’s head, stripped off his armour, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to spread the good news  in the temples of their idols  and among the people.
