Elisha went out to the spring, threw salt in it,  and said, ‘This is what the Lord says: “I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.” ’


Then Elisha said, ‘Get some flour.’ He threw it into the pot and said, ‘Serve it for the people to eat.’ And there was nothing bad in the pot.


As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axe head fell into the water, and he cried out, ‘Oh, my master, it was borrowed! ’


Then he said, ‘Pick it up.’ So he reached out and took it.


So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he threw it into the water, the water became drinkable. The Lord made a statute and ordinance for them at Marah, and he tested them there.
