‘But you are not to be called “Rabbi,” because you have one Teacher,   and you are all brothers and sisters.


‘I baptise you with  water for repentance,  but the one who is coming after me is more powerful than I. I am not worthy to remove  his sandals. He himself will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.


The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory;   but he who seeks the glory   of the one who sent him is true,   and there is no unrighteousness in him.


He sent the message to the Israelites, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ #– #he is Lord of all.


‘Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.’


God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.


but we preach Christ crucified,  a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.


just as I also try to please everyone in everything, not seeking my own benefit, but the benefit of many,  so that they may be saved.


Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, ‘Jesus is cursed,’ and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’, except by the Holy Spirit.


The first man was from the earth, a man of dust;  the second man is  from heaven.


I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.


For you may have countless instructors in Christ, but you don’t have many fathers. For I became your father  in Christ Jesus through the gospel.


yet for us there is one God, the Father.  All things are from him,  and we exist for him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through him, and we exist through him.


For the Son of God,  Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you #– #Silvanus,  , Timothy, and I #– #did not become ‘Yes and no’. On the contrary, in him it is always ‘Yes’.


I do not mean that we lord it over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in your  faith.


For you were called  to be free, brothers and sisters; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity  for the flesh, but serve one another through love.


To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry,  but others out of good will.


and every tongue  will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory  of God the Father.


This is why I endure  all things for the elect:  so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.


It is necessary to silence them; they are ruining entire households by teaching what they shouldn’t in order to get money dishonestly.


They will exploit  you in their greed  with made-up stories. Their condemnation,  pronounced long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.
