10 In any case that comes before you from a fellow citizen in an outlying town, whether it involves bloodshed or is an issue of instruction, commandment, regulations, or case laws, you must warn them not to sin against the LORD, consequently making him angry with both you and your fellow citizen. Do this, and you won’t sin.

10 Every case that will come to you from your brothers, who live in their cities, between kindred and kindred, wherever there is a question concerning law, commandment, ceremonies, or justifications, reveal it to them, so that they may not sin against the Lord, and so that wrath may not overwhelm you and your brothers. Then, by acting in this way, you will not sin.

2 Chronicles 19:10
13 Tagairtí Cros

Then Jehu  son of the seer Hanani went out to confront him  and said to King Jehoshaphat, ‘Do you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?  Because of this, the Lord’s wrath is on you.

He commanded them, saying, ‘In the fear of the Lord, with integrity, and wholeheartedly, you are to do the following:

Whenever they have a dispute, it comes to me, and I make a decision between one man and another. I teach them God’s statutes and laws.’

‘Son of man, I have made you a watchman over the house of Israel.  When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me.

However, suppose the watchman sees the sword coming but doesn’t blow the ram’s horn, so that the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes away their lives. Then they have been taken away because of their iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.”

Then Moses told Aaron, ‘Take your firepan, place fire from the altar in it, and add incense. Go quickly to the community and make atonement for them, because wrath has come from the Lord; the plague has begun.’

So Moses did as the Lord commanded him.

Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I never stopped warning each one of you with tears.

Then the priests, the sons of Levi, will come forward, for the Lord your God has chosen them to serve him and pronounce blessings in his name, and they are to give a ruling in  every dispute and case of assault.

And we exhort you, brothers and sisters:  warn those who are idle,  comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient  with everyone.
