But the king said to him, ‘How many times must I make you swear not to tell me anything but the truth in the name of the Lord? ’


So he went to the king, and the king asked him, ‘Micaiah, should we go to Ramoth-gilead for war, or should I  refrain? ’ Micaiah said, ‘March up and succeed, for they will be handed over to you.’


So Micaiah said: I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd. And the  Lord  said, ‘They have no master; let each return home in peace.’


But  Jesus kept silent.  The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath  by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.’


And he cried out with a loud voice, ‘What do you have to do with me, Jesus, Son  of the Most High God?  I beg you before God, don’t torment  me! ’


Now some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists also attempted to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ‘I command you by the Jesus that Paul preaches! ’


and the men of Israel were worn out that day, for Saul had  placed the troops under an oath:  ‘The man who eats food before evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies is cursed.’ So none of the troops tasted any food.
