But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony   of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.   ,


So Pilate  came out to them and said, ‘What charge  do you bring against this man? ’


Even in your law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true.


They did this, sending it to the elders  by means of Barnabas and Saul.


I answered them that it is not the Roman custom to give someone up  before the accused faces the accusers and has an opportunity for a defence against the charges.


This is the third time I am coming to you.  Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.   ,


The one condemned to die is to be executed on the testimony of two or three witnesses.  No one is to be executed on the testimony of a single witness.


‘One witness cannot establish any iniquity or sin against a person, whatever that person has done.  A fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.


Don’t neglect the gift that is in you; it was given to you through prophecy,  with the laying on of hands  by the council of elders.


The elders who are good leaders are to be considered worthy of double honour,  especially those who work hard  at preaching and teaching.


An elder  must be blameless,  the husband of one wife, with faithful  children who are not accused of wildness or rebellion.


Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses died without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
