He may assist his brothers to fulfil responsibilities  at the tent of meeting,  but he must not do the work. This is how you are to deal with the Levites regarding their duties.’


In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.


But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.’


Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits  of Achaia  and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you


For we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus  and present us with you.


and not just as we had hoped. Instead, they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us by God’s will.


Don’t neglect the gift that is in you; it was given to you through prophecy,  with the laying on of hands  by the council of elders.


Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save  both yourself and your hearers.


If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith  and the good teaching that you have followed.


He gave himself for us  to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,  eager to do good works.


This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth;  you are to meditate on  it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.
