Then David said to Abishai and all his servants, ‘Look, my own son, my own flesh and blood,  intends to take my life   #– #how much more now this Benjaminite! Leave him alone and let him curse me; the Lord has told him to.


One day, while he was worshipping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech  and Sharezer struck him down with the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat.  Then his son Esar-haddon  became king in his place.


and the Lord sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.


If a person schemes and wilfully  acts against his neighbour to murder him, you must take him from my altar to be put to death.


Whoever curses his father or mother   #– # his lamp will go out in deep darkness.


Someone burdened by bloodguilt will be a fugitive until death. Let no one help him.


The one who robs his father or mother and says, ‘That’s no sin,’ is a companion to a person who destroys.


There is a generation that curses its father and does not bless its mother.


As for the eye that ridicules a father and despises obedience to a mother, may ravens of the valley pluck it out and young vultures eat it.


because both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in my house  I have found their evil. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


And you, profane and wicked prince of Israel,  , the day has come  for your punishment.


‘If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.  He has cursed his father or mother; his death is his own fault.


‘Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.


slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful,  inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,


For the promise to Abraham  or to his descendants that he would inherit the world  was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.


The law came along to multiply the trespass.  But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more,


For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under the law  but under grace.


Why, then, was the law given?  It was added for the sake of transgressions  until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels  by means of a mediator.


But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.


envy,  , drunkenness, carousing,  and anything similar. I am warning you about these things #– #as I warned you before #– #that those who practise such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.


gentleness,  and self-control.  The law is not against such things.


“The one who dishonours his father or mother is cursed.” And all the people will say, “Amen! ”


and then the lawless one will be revealed. The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of his mouth  and will bring him to nothing at the appearance of his coming.


But have nothing to do with pointless and silly myths.  Rather, train yourself in godliness.


Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you,  avoiding  irreverent and empty speech and contradictions from what is falsely called knowledge.


Avoid irreverent and empty speech, since those who engage in it will produce even more godlessness,


For people will be lovers of self,  lovers of money,  boastful, proud,  demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,


For there are many rebellious people, full of empty talk and deception, especially those from the circumcision party.


They claim to know God,  but they deny him by their works.  They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.


An elder  must be blameless,  the husband of one wife, with faithful  children who are not accused of wildness or rebellion.


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions  and pleasures,  living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.


By faith Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies in peace and didn’t perish with those who disobeyed.


And make sure that there isn’t any immoral  or irreverent  person like Esau, who sold his birthright in exchange for a single meal.


So honour will come to you who believe; but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected – this one has become the cornerstone,   ,


who in the past were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah  while the ark was being prepared. In it a few #– #that is, eight people  ,  #– #were saved through water.


And if a righteous person is saved with difficulty, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?   ,


to execute judgement on all and to convict all the ungodly  concerning all the ungodly acts that they have done in an ungodly way, and concerning all the harsh things ungodly sinners have said against him.’


But the cowards, faithless,  detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars   #– #their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur,  which is the second death.’


Outside are the dogs,   the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practises falsehood.
