He will certainly accomplish what he has decreed for me, and he has many more things like these in mind.


However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power  and to make my name known on the whole earth.


The Lord has prepared everything for his purpose – even the wicked for the day of disaster.


The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him,   but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for him if he had not been born.’


‘For it is written in the Book of Psalms: Let his dwelling become desolate; let no one live in it;    and Let someone else take his position.   ,


to take the place  in this apostolic ministry  that Judas left to go where he belongs.’


When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and honoured the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed.


As you once disobeyed God but now have received mercy through their disobedience,


What then? Israel did not find what it was looking for,  but the elect did find it. The rest were hardened,


and to wait  for his Son  from heaven, whom he raised from the dead   #– #Jesus, who rescues us  from the coming wrath.


so that no one will be shaken by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.


even though I was formerly a blasphemer,  a persecutor,  and an arrogant man.  But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief,


But I received mercy  for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience  as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.


This is why I endure  all things for the elect:  so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.


Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy,  but now you have received mercy.


and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over.   , They stumble because they disobey the word; they were destined  for this.


Simeon  Peter,  a servant and an apostle  of Jesus Christ: To those who have received a faith equal to ours through the righteousness  of our God and Saviour  Jesus Christ.


They will exploit  you in their greed  with made-up stories. Their condemnation,  pronounced long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.


For some people, who were designated for this judgement long ago,  , have come in by stealth;  they are ungodly,  turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying  Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.
