You will flee by my mountain valley,  for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled  from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah.  Then the Lord my God will come and all the holy ones  with him.  ,


‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels   , with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.


For whoever is ashamed   of me and my words   in this adulterous and sinful   generation,   the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory   of his Father   with the holy   angels.’


Both were righteous in God’s sight,  living blamelessly  according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.


Who are you to judge  another’s household servant? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand, because the Lord is able  to make him stand.


Now to him who is able to strengthen you  according to my gospel and the proclamation about Jesus Christ,  according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent  for long ages


But each in his own order:  Christ, the firstfruits; afterwards, at his coming, those who belong to Christ.


who gave himself for our sins  to rescue us from this present evil age,  according to the will of our God and Father.


He did this to present the church to himself in splendour, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and blameless.


He said: The Lord came from Sinai and appeared to them from Seir; he shone on them from Mount Paran and came with ten thousand holy ones, with lightning  from his right hand  for them.


so that you may approve the things that are superior  and may be pure  and blameless  in the day of Christ,


But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death,  to present you holy, faultless,  and blameless before him   #– #


For who is our hope or joy  or crown  of boasting  in the presence of our Lord  Jesus at his coming?  Is it not you?


Now may our God and Father  himself, and our Lord Jesus,  direct our way to you.


And we sent Timothy,  our brother and God’s co-worker  in the gospel of Christ,  to strengthen and encourage you concerning your faith,


For we say this to you by a word from the Lord:  We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming  will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.


Then  we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds  to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.


Now may the God of peace  himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit,  soul, and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming  of our Lord  Jesus Christ.


on that day when he comes  to be glorified  by his saints  and to be marvelled at by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.


and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,


Now concerning the coming  of our Lord  Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him: We ask you, brothers and sisters,


You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.


The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory  in Christ,  will himself restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little while.


It was about these that Enoch,  in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied: ‘Look! The Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy ones


Now to him  who is able to protect you from stumbling  and to make you stand in the presence of his glory, without blemish  and with great joy,
