They had not gone very far from the city when Joseph said to his steward, ‘Get up. Pursue the men, and when you overtake them, say to them, “Why have you repaid evil for good?


Foolish  men, without even a name. They were forced to leave the land.


If anyone returns evil for good, evil will never depart from his house.


Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before you to speak good on their behalf, to turn your anger from them.


Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.


Be angry and do not sin.   , Don’t let the sun go down on your anger,


Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice.


See to it that no one repays evil for evil  to anyone,  but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.


For it is better to suffer  for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.


not paying back evil for evil  or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing,  since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.


He said to his men, ‘All of you, put on your swords! ’ So each man put on his sword, and David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David while two hundred stayed with the supplies.


The men treated us very well. When we were in the field, we weren’t harassed  and nothing of ours was missing the whole time we were living among them.


As she rode the donkey down a mountain pass hidden from view, she saw David and his men coming towards her and met them.


I hear that you are shearing.  When your shepherds were with us, we did not harass them, and nothing of theirs was missing the whole time they were in Carmel.
