But the men who had gone up with him responded, ‘We can’t attack the people because they are stronger than we are! ’


The people are strong and tall, the descendants of the Anakim.  You know about them and you have heard it said about them, “Who can stand up to the sons of Anak? ”


They worshipped the dragon  because he gave authority to the beast. And they worshipped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast?  Who is able to wage war against it? ’


David answered Saul, ‘Your servant has been tending his father’s sheep. Whenever a lion or a bear came and carried off a lamb from the flock,


When the Philistine looked and saw David, he despised him  because he was just a youth, healthy  , and handsome.


The king said, ‘Find out whose son this young man is! ’
