Solomon rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of his father David. His son Rehoboam  became king in his place.


As for the rest of the events of Jeroboam’s reign, how he waged war  and how he reigned, note that they are written in the Historical Record of Israel’s Kings.


Now Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, reigned in Judah.  Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king; he reigned for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city where the Lord had chosen from all the tribes of Israel to put his name.  Rehoboam’s mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.


Then David rested with his ancestors  and was buried in the city of David.


and he reigned for three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Micaiah  , daughter of Uriel; she was from Gibeah. There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.


Jeroboam no longer retained his power  during Abijah’s reign; ultimately, the Lord struck him  and he died.


so people lie down never to rise again. They will not wake up until the heavens are no more; they will not stir from their sleep.
