As they were worshipping  the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’


The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their robes when they heard this and rushed into the crowd, shouting,


But the people of the city were divided, some siding with the Jews and others with the apostles.


The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, ‘Have courage! For as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.’


But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for this man is my chosen instrument   to take my name to Gentiles,   kings, and Israelites.


Ananias went and entered the house. He placed his hands on him and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road you were travelling, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’


As  he travelled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him.


‘Who are you, Lord? ’ Saul said. ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting,’ he replied.


Paul, a ser?vant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle  , and set apart  for the gospel of God   #– #


Through him we have received grace and apostleship  to bring about  the obedience  of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,  ,


Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Insofar as I am an apostle to the Gentiles,  I magnify my ministry,


Paul,  called as an apostle  of Christ Jesus by God’s will,  and Sosthenes our brother:


I do not mean your own conscience, but the other person’s. For why is my freedom judged  by another person’s conscience?


If I partake with thanksgiving,  why am I criticised because of something for which I give thanks?


If anyone wants to argue about this, we have no other  custom, nor do the churches of God.


I planted,  Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.


Although I am free from all and not anyone’s slave, I have made myself a slave to everyone, in order to win  more people.


Look at what is obvious.  If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ,  let him remind himself of this: Just as he belongs to Christ, so do we.


Now I consider myself in no way inferior to those ‘super-apostles’,


Working together with him, we also appeal to you, ‘Don’t receive the grace of God in vain.’


Paul,  an apostle #– #not from men or by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father,  who raised him from the dead   #– #


For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm,  then, and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery.


and we didn’t seek glory  from people, either from you or from others.


For this I was appointed a herald, an apostle  (I am telling the truth;  I am not lying), and a teacher of the Gentiles  in faith and truth.


For this gospel I was appointed  a herald, apostle, and teacher,
