Do you see a person who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.


Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;


Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.


So now, sons, listen to me, and don’t turn away from the words from my mouth.


He feeds on   ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say, ‘Isn’t there a lie in my right hand? ’


Woe to those who consider themselves wise and judge themselves clever.  ,


This is what the Lord says: Don’t deceive yourselves by saying, ‘The Chaldeans will leave us for good,’ for they will not leave.


‘How can you claim, “We are wise; the law of the Lord is with us”? In fact, the lying pen of scribes has produced falsehood.


Now the one sown among the thorns #– #this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age   and the deceitfulness   of wealth   choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.


Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child #– #this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.


Truly I tell you,   whoever does not receive   , the kingdom of God like a little child   will never enter it.’

Then he said, ‘Watch out that you are not deceived.   For many will come in my name,   saying, “I am he,”   and, “The time is near.” Don’t follow them.


I don’t want you to be ignorant  of this mystery,  brothers and sisters, so that you will not be conceited:  A partial hardening has come upon Israel  until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.


Live in harmony with one another.  Do not be proud;  instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.


Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company corrupts good morals.’


If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him;  for God’s temple is holy,  and that is what you are.


We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ!  We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonoured!


Don’t you know that the unrighteous  will not inherit God’s kingdom?  Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters,  adulterers,  or males who have sex with males,  ,


For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing,  he deceives himself.


Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap,


Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath  is coming on the disobedient  because of these things.


Evil people and impostors will become worse, deceiving  and being deceived.


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions  and pleasures,  living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.


But  be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.


If anyone  thinks he is religious without controlling his tongue,  his religion is useless and he deceives himself.


If we say, ‘We have no sin,’  we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
