Eleazar died having no sons, only daughters. Their cousins, the sons of Kish, married them.


These were the descendants of Levi by their ancestral families   #– #the family heads, according to their registration by name in the headcount #– #twenty years old or more, who worked in the service of the Lord’s temple.


Mushi’s sons: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. Those were the descendants of the Levites according to their ancestral families.


‘Organise your ancestral families  by your divisions  according to the written instruction of King David of Israel and that of his son Solomon.


According to the ordinances of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests over their service,  of the Levites over their responsibilities to offer praise and to minister before the priests following the daily requirement,  and of the gatekeepers by their divisions with respect to each temple gate,  for this had been the command of David, the man of God.


The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their family records.
