1 Chronicles 14:11 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

11 So the Israelites went up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated the Philistines there. Then David said, ‘Like a bursting flood, God has used me to burst out against my enemies.’ Therefore, they named that place The Lord Bursts Out.

So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated them there and said, ‘Like a bursting flood, the Lord has burst out against my enemies before me.’  Therefore, he named that place The Lord Bursts Out.


so David enquired of God, ‘Should I attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me? ’ The Lord replied, ‘Attack, and I will hand them over to you.’


The Philistines abandoned their idols there, and David ordered that they be burned in the fire.


They advance as through a gaping breach; they keep rolling in through the ruins.


The water came back and covered the chariots  and horsemen, as well as the entire army of Pharaoh that had gone after them into the sea. Not even one of them survived.


For the Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim. He will rise in wrath, as at the Valley of Gibeon, to do his work, his unexpected work, and to perform his task, his unfamiliar task.


The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. It collapsed with a great crash.’
