John 11:3

God said, “Take your son, your only son whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah. Offer him up as an entirely burned offering there on one of the mountains that I will show you.”


Now as for the “holy ones” in the land, the “magnificent ones” that I was so happy about;


When he saw her, the Lord had compassion for her and said, “Don’t cry.”


A certain man, Lazarus, was ill. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. (


He continued, “Our friend Lazarus is sleeping, but I am going in order to wake him up.”


This was the Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped his feet with her hair. Her brother Lazarus was ill.)


Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.


The Jews said, “See how much he loved him!”


Jesus loved Martha, her sister, and Lazarus.


You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you speak correctly, because I am.


One of the disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was at Jesus’ side.


Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus in Miletus because of his illness.


I correct and discipline those whom I love. So be earnest and change your hearts and lives.
