There is no health in my flesh before the face of your wrath. There is no peace for my bones before the face of my sins.


For they did not take possession of the land by their sword, and their own arm did not save them. But your right hand and your arm, and the light of your countenance did so, because you were pleased with them.


May God rise up, and may his enemies be scattered, and may those who hate him flee from before his face.


Sound the trumpet at the new moon, on the noteworthy day of your solemnity,


My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.


Chorus to Bride: We will run after you in the odor of your perfumes.


You have increased the nation, but you have not increased the rejoicing. They will rejoice before you, like those who rejoice at the harvest, like the victorious exulting after capturing the prey, when they divide the spoils.


Rejoicing and exultation has been taken away from Carmel and from the land of Moab. And I have taken the wine from the winepresses. The treader of grapes will no longer sing the usual rhythmic chant.


May the Lord reveal his face to you and take pity on you.


And by saying these things, they were barely able to restrain the crowds from immolating to them.
