My soul is among lions; I lie among them that are set on fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword.


And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.


As Jehovah commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.


Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah hath spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.


O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood; the battle against the children of iniquity doth not overtake them in Gibeah.


Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.


Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.


even the censers of these sinners against their own lives; and let them be made beaten plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Jehovah; therefore they are holy; and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.


to be a memorial unto the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger, that is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to burn incense before Jehovah; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as Jehovah spake unto him by Moses.


Thus did Moses: as Jehovah commanded him, so did he.


And thou shalt lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.


And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.


And Moses took the rod from before Jehovah, as he commanded him.


Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;


Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer.


Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.


Ye have been rebellious against Jehovah from the day that I knew you.


Remember, forget thou not, how thou provokedst Jehovah thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou wentest forth out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against Jehovah.


having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was a golden pot holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;


Now the sons of Eli were base men; they knew not Jehovah.


Then answered all the wicked men and base fellows, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them aught of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that he may lead them away, and depart.
